1/3 of of the original GULF WAR VETS are DEAD or DYING from DU.  A. FACT.

Our Troops, Iraqi citizens are being explosed to DU on a daily basis.  Cancer rates for both have soared.  Hillary Clinton "promised" to check into it.. but of course, not a peep from her since - or any other politician.  

What manner of man would permit, allow, even encourage this form of madness? Or look the other way, like Hillary, for "political reasons"?

I hear all the time that "politics is local".

I call, write Congress "critters", papers ... and nothing happens - noone seems to care.  

At least, no one in power... it seems they just want to keep it - at DEMOCRACY's EXPENSE!

WHO PROFITS and WHY?  Ask yourself and others:  Are WAR PROFITs more important than cleaning up Katrina, health care, jobs, environment, etc?  

My Father, a 20 year Green Beret with two tours of Nam told me in disgust in the 70's that "we have war for profit in this Country".

I didn't believe him then- I do now.  FACTS are FACTS.

WE THE PEOPLE must face up to the reality that our troops' lives and bodies are not to be squandered on corporate wars.

Start with the Corporate Media - who know EXACTLY what they are doing when they HIDE the HORROR...

Sometimes loving your Country means protesting things that are WRONG.  Until this changes, we will always have perpetual WAR - and WE THE PEOPLE lose, again.

I don't know if this article is true - or if it will ever come to this. Now I kind of understand why the FEAR FACTOR routine, WHY they fight so hard to take AWAY all our rights and liberties. Sadly, it CAN happen here!!!

I always wondered why they immediately moved in with their troops and guns - NOT - humanitarian aid - during Katrina.  As with Katrina - so goes the rest of us if we don't WAKE UP.

We all understand that our Media today is not "free".

I hope it's ok to post this with the attached email note.  We all receive a lot of info via email but this is important.

You see, my 50 year old Brother-in-Law is currently undergoing chemo and radiation for throat cancer.

After a few months wait, he will have his left leg cut off below the knee due to diabetes and a leg injury.

He is a former vet w/limited funds.

My Sister told me a few days ago that they have fallen into the "doughnut hole".  It's real and happening NOW.  

If you think this can't happen to YOU - you are mistaken.

My personal interpretation : this is a SH*T HOLE.

Simply put: Bush and Cheney and their band of neo-conservative war hawks, with their special relationship to the capacities of Israel in Iraq and across the Mideast, were given a chance.

The chance was to deliver on the US strategic goal of control of petroleum resources globally, to ensure the US role as first among equals over the next decade and beyond.

Not only have they failed to "deliver" that goal of US strategic dominance, they have also threatened the very basis of continued US hegemony, or as the Rumsfeld Pentagon likes to term it, "Full Spectrum Dominance".

In the world we live in today, with the frustration of all GOOD AMERICANS at watching our beloved Country turn into a Fascist State - I think we all must get involved - somehow - to change things back to the TRUE Democratic ideals our Founding Fathers envisioned.  We have a lot of work to do.

WE THE PEOPLE must not let this continue!
Please "talk" to your friends, family, neighbors.
Get past the old adage of "It's not polite".
